RUNWAY-READY WITH PRIMP AT NYFW

As the buzz and beauty of New York Fashion Week descends upon the city, we at Primp Events are gearing up another insane, fun, thrilling week. There is a lot of pressure, but this is honestly where we thrive. It all starts with our team of super-talented, super-experienced service providers. They have done and seen it all.

It is a week where you have to be particularly nimble and willing to adjust on the fly. Over our years of working together, we have developed a rhythm that really helps us to adapt to whatever fashion week throws at us. Whether it is last-minute manicures and make-up adjustments for the runway, a sudden change of mind on hairstyles, or a change of models who all of the sudden need some precision eyebrow shaping it seems there is always something. And it is always something different. There are big shows and small, product demos and corporate events. All with a different vibe but the same demand, this is a week where you have to look flawless.

There is definitely a special energy around fashion week and we do enjoy it. It is just one of the many aspects of being centered in NYC that we love. We get to work with so many different interesting clients and businesses who are looking to create magical, memorable experiences for their customers, employees, or friends. There is truly no other place we would rather be and no other people we’d rather be working for and with.

MOLLY, MOBILE MANICURES AND MORE AT THE CDI, LLC TECH SUMMIT IN NYC

If you were fortunate enough to be at the CDI, LLC tech summit in NYC recently, you got to hear a fantastic talk from guest speaker, entrepreneur Molly Bloom of "Molly's Game” and you also got to enjoy some wonderful mobile spa services from Primp Events. We were asked to come in, set a great tone, and help make it a really special day for everyone. Guests were able to partake in stunning makeovers, relaxing chair massages, and gorgeous manicures or hand massages. The services were a huge hit! And a great prelude to Molly’s inspiring talk. The chair massages help you unwind and forget about the stresses in your life and manicures and make-up leave you feeling great about yourself. All in all, it made for a really enjoyable and memorable day for all who attended.

BLOG MEETS BRAND EVENT BY INSTYLE MAGAZINE

InStyle Magazine knows how to throw a great event!  At a recent blogger event in New York City, the magazine rolled out the red carpet for attendees with services that included chair massage by PrimpEvents.

At this stylish event, bloggers were able to rub elbows with top brands like Jergens, Sears,, Bulova, and more. For our part, we were there along side Jergens to discuss a new hand cream and the benefits of the cream while treating the bloggers to hand and neck massages.

The elegant affair was a great event for the bloggers to experience new products and include them in their upcoming posts.  And they had a lot to write about.  From fashion to beauty, the brands had a lot to share. 

EVENT PLANNING TIPS

Successful events do not happen with luck.  A memorable professional event, whether its an employee appreciation day, a product launch party, or a VIP celebration, always begins with a sound plan.  PrimpEvents creates events that make our clients look like super stars, and we have gathered a lot of good tips over the years to make any event a delightful success.  Follow these basic event planning pointers and you'll be on your way to hosting the most-talked about event of the season!

1. Know your audience and why you are bringing them together.  Putting some thought in to who exactly you are inviting and what you hope to accomplish will help you define the scope of the event.  With the big picture in place many of the details including venue and types of entertainment will be easier to tackle.

2.  If money only grew on trees managing the budget would be the easy part.  But since budget is a reality for any business, be realistic and do you homework.  Make a list of the services you'll need and call around.  Request online quotes.  Talk to the vendors and make sure every dollar counts.  If your guests have everything they need and you meet the budget, your event will be a success.

3.  Details matter, so stay organized and use checklists.  Imagine an event that's going perfectly - the lighting is impeccable, the signature cocktail is a hit, the guests are all smiling and happy - until you realize that no one arranged transportation for the keynote speaker from the hotel to your party.  Keep good notes and make sure to check them twice.

4.  Enjoy the party!  You've worked hard to show your guests a good time and your attitude is contagious.  You can catch up on sleep after the event, but for now be the Host or Hostess with the Mostest and have a great time.
